SHRINER MINI-CLINIC


The Jersey Community Hospital, 400 Maple Summit Road, Jerseyville, Illinois. will be screening children ages infant to 18 years of age. This screening will be free of charge.

If you know of any child that the Shriners of North America can help to live a better life, arrange to have them brought to this Mini-Clinic. The Shriners goal is for all children to have a better life.

Any child excepted into the Shriners Childrens Hospitals will be given treatments absolutely free of cost to patient, parents and any third party. The Shrine's philanthropy has 22 "Centers of Excellence" which treat Burn Patients, Spinal Cord Injuries and comprehensive Pediatric Orthopedic care to children.

Shriners Hospitals are equipped and staffed to care for children with congenital orthopedic deformities, problems resulting from orthopedic injuries and diseases of the bones, joints and muscles. Some of the common orthopedic problems treated at Shriners Hospitals include: Scoliosis, Osteogenesis, Cerebral Palsy, Hand problems, Back problems, Limb deficiencies, problems of Spina Bifida, Club Foot, Leg Length, Neuromuscular disorders, Legg-Perthes, Rickets, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. These are but a few of the childhood diseases that are treatable.

Each year, Shriners Hospitals spend millions of dollars on specialized research and the development of new treatments for crippling diseases which afflict children. This clinic will be held March 8, 2003 between the hours of 8 A.M. to noon.
